Overview

Finance Grants Section is headed by Miss.Gachithi Elizabeth W,

The Section Functions include:

(i). Management of Research fund

(ii). Prepare Management and Donor reports

Events

Grants Section staff are currently on the chores of processing the financial reports and financial statements of various research projects grants for end of the financial year. These have to be submitted to the top management and grants donors as part of the agreement requirements.

Services Rendered

• Provides operational support to program managers in the areas of budget preparation, report preparation and filing, regulations, policies and procedures
• Manages the relationship between Research projects and the donors’ auditor as per agreement
• Manages the annual data collection and analysis financial data and submits these data as part
• Offers Negotiating services on behalf of the PI on grant awards
• Handles all matters relating to the notice of grant award, including funding levels and terms and conditions
• Resolves budget and administrative issues for individual grants
• Interprets grants policies as they relate to the grant award process
• Prepares managements report for post award fiscal and administrative issues
• Provides guidance to project’s PI on implementation of budget lines
• Maintains a repository of all official grant award records
