Annual Stock Taking
The annual stock taking exercise is currently ongoing at various University of Nairobi Service Centers such as the Business Center, the Bookshop and University Health Services.The exercise which kicked off on the 3rd of June 2013 is scheduled to end 28th of June 2013. The exercise seeks to physicaly verify the quantities and condition of items held in our inventory and warehouse.

UoN breaks ground for Ksh. 2.3 Billion Tower.
University of Nairobi Main Campus
Today marked yet another giant stride for the University of Nairobi when the University's top management and the Chancellor Dr. Joseph Wanjui presided over the ground breaking ceremony of a new tower.The Towers will be situated in the open space between the Gandhi Building and Education Building, just adjacent to the Norfolk Fairmont Hotel and Kenya National Theatre.
This tower will house the Vice-Chancellor’s Suite, Senate Boardroom, Council Meeting Room and lecture theatres.
The project capital development is estimated at more than Ksh. 2.3 Billion, the Finance Department will be offering professional financial services in this milestone project. The Finance officer was represented at the event by the Deputy Finance Officer Revenue Mr. Patrick Agutu also present was the Deputy Finance Officer General Mr. Peter Busienei.

The Finance Department of the University of Nairobi occupies a central position in the Administration and Finance Division. It is the department responsible for managing the University's financial resources, with the University currently running an annual budget of approximately Kshs 11 billion.
The Department also plays a major role in the acquisition of other movable and immovable assets. In its operations, the Department has undertaken to observe principals of prudent resource management.

The movement towards deeper commitment to environmental protection through planting new trees and taking care of the existing one is rapidly increasing all over the university of Nairobi
The Finance Department undertook the initiative on the 19th of April, 2013, of increasing the numbers of trees within and without the University of Nairobi, by planting 25 new seedlings of mutable species at the College of Biological and Physical Sciences.
